Announcing NEW Programs and Ongoing Funding Opportunities

The CBC has as its mission transforming the direction and application of biomedical research and education in the Chicago area with the aim of promoting and facilitating scientific research of the highest order. This mission is grounded in the belief that the combined intellectual power of researchers, educators, and staff of the member institutions must collaborate and engage the broader community for Chicago to become a national and international leader in the biomedical sciences.

As of January 2017, the CBC entered an ambitious second phase in pursuit of this mission. This Phase 2 features increased emphasis on translational research and introduces new programs to foster and mentor biomedical entrepreneurs. The CBC will expand its engagement with the Chicago biomedical community and will enhance its collaborations with the biotechnology industry, all with the goal of advancing biomedical research to improve the health of humankind and making a more vibrant Chicago.
